Q:

Does KHS pickup owner release animals?

A:

Yes, KHS picks up owned animals in Metro Louisville, Henry, Trimble and Spencer Counties, Monday - Friday. The fee is $50 for pick-ups in Metro Louisville and $75 for outside of Jefferson County. Please call (502) 366-3355 for more information or to speak with a rescue officer.

   

Q:

Who should I call i f I see an injured stray animal?

A:

In Metro Louisville, call the KHS Rescue team at (502) 366-3355, Monday - Friday, between 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

In Henry & Trimble counties, call KHS Rescue Officer at (502) 845-6446. Hours are 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Saturdays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, please call first.

In Spencer County, please contact the KHS Rescue Officer at (502) 477-3332.

   

Q:

Does KHS pickup injured animals outside of Jefferson County?

A:

Yes, KHS can pickup animals outside Jefferson County, as well as Southern Indiana.

   

Q:

Does KHS rescue injured wildlife?

A:

Yes, KHS will pick up injured wildlife, and depending upon the animal's health and injuries, we will take the animal to a rehabilitator.
