Four-legged and two-legged fans are invited to come watch the Louisville Bats play on April 16 from a special VIP (Very Important Puppy) section at Louisville Slugger Field! The Louisville Bats and Your Community Bank will host DOG DAY IN THE PARK to help raise money for needy animals at the Kentucky Humane Society. The best part -- you can bring your dog for a fun-filled evening at the ballpark!

15th annual benefit auction & gala

Last year, hundreds of pet lovers pumped up the volume with the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) for the 14th annual TUXES & TAILS benefit auction and gala, presented by Brown-Forman.
Held at Churchill Downs' fourth floor Millionaires Row, the rockin' affair got underway with a silent auction, open bar and hors d'oeuvres. The festivities continued with a delicious dinner, KHS success stories, live auction, rock and roll music throughout the decades, adoptable pets and more.
Thanks to everyone's support, KHS raised over $125,000, helping thousands of needy animals in the community!

Get professional portraits of your furry friend with Santa during the Kentucky Humane Society's 21st annual PICTURE YOUR PETS WITH SANTA in December 2008. Taking place at 12 area Feeders Supply stores, the holiday fundraiser's hours are Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays, noon to 4 p.m. Same day photo service!
Photos are offered in various packages. Personalized gift items, including ornaments, mugs, T-shirts, mouse pads, key chains and tote bags, featuring your pet's photo also are available.
Proceeds benefit the Kentucky Humane Society, HOPE for Pets (Bullitt County, Ky.), Floyd County Animal Rescue League and Animal Protection Association of Clark County.
