To the Rescue! Stories & Updates
Every month, KHS helps hundreds of animals in need. Here's just one of our rescue stories...
-- Updates from the Fall PAW STREET JOURNAL --
In late August, "Bondi," a 10-week-old terrier/collie mix was surrendered to KHS, suffering substantial hair loss, reddened skin and an infestation of fleas. The KHS veterinary team determined that the young pup had sarcoptic mange, commonly known as canine scabies. With treatment and foster care, Bondi was able to recover and find a loving family. Click here to find out how Bondi is doing in his new home!
On a hot August day, “Webster,” a stray four-year-old terrier mix, was found at a South Louisville rental property with nothing - no food, shelter or water. KHS staff rescued him and discovered that he had severe matting and maggots living inside wounds on his skin. The Eastpoint Pet Resort team wanted to help nurse Webster back to health, so they decided to foster Webster...and find him a permanent home. Click here to learn how Webster is doing now!
