Pets Looking for Homes

Help KHS find homes for thousands of needy dogs and cats! Here are just a couple of our adoptable pets...

"Julius" is a three-year-old Rottweiler. He's a happy-go-lucky boy who's eager to please! Whether it's going for walks or playing ball, Julius loves to stay busy. But, by the end of the day, he'll be ready to relax at your feet. He is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations, but he would do best in a home with children six years and older.

Come meet this sweet boy today by visiting the St. Matthews KHS-Feeders Supply adoption site!
Or, call 366-3355 for more information.

"Apollo," a three-month-old black and white shorthair kitty, wants to be your new best friend! This adorable boy loves to run around and play. Neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations, Apollo can't wait to be your new playmate! Come visit him today at the KHS main campus! Or, call (502) 366-3355 for more information.

To the Rescue! Stories & Updates
Every month, KHS helps hundreds of animals in need. Here's just one of our rescue stories...

In late May, “Max,” a four-year-old yellow Labrador retriever mix, was abandoned at the KHS main campus. Upon initial evaluation, it was discovered that Max suffered from a painful condition -- the poor dog had outgrown his collar, so it had become attached to his skin after prolonged wear. With meticulous care, a KHS veterinarian removed the embedded collar, exposing a wound around his neck.

Also diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, Max was placed on antibiotics for treatment. The sweet dog still remains under veterinary care, but once Max is completely recovered from his injury and infection, he will be placed up for adoption. KHS wishes Max a speedy recovery!
