This weekend, KHS is hosting HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS to encourage families who've been considering a new furry companion to adopt from the animal-sheltering agency. Pets Looking for Homes

To the Rescue! Stories & Updates
Every month, KHS helps hundreds of animals in need. Here's just one of our rescue stories...
 In mid-September, a caring local resident brought a stray Shih Tzu to KHS for help. It was evident that the adult dog was in poor condition, possibly due to neglect.
"Ziggy" suffered from a severe flea infestation that caused extreme skin irritation and hair loss. The KHS  veterinary team decided to treat the eight-year-old canine with a thorough flea bath and antibiotics to kill any possible infections. Afterwards, the sweet dog was placed in foster care with the KHS staff at Eastpoint Pet Resort since he needed to continue monthly flea treatments.
Ziggy remains in foster care at the Eastpoint Pet Resort, but he'll placed up for adoption as soon as he regains his handsome looks. KHS wishes Ziggy a speedy recovery!
