Rescue

rescue2.jpgThe Kentucky Humane Society’s Rescue Department helps neglected, abused and at-risk animals in our area. Each year, our rescue officers handle special animal cases, including pets hit by cars, attacked by other animal and those with life-threatening conditions and diseases.

Though known for our programs in Metro Louisville, KHS also offers rescue services in Henry, Trimble and Spencer counties, and holds animal control contracts for the respective county governments to handle animal ordinance enforcement and cruelty investigation.

Call (502) 515-3138 to report any instances of animal cruelty or neglect in Henry, Spencer or Trimble counties. In Metro Louisville, please call Metro Animal Services at (502) 363-6609, as they are responsible for stray pick-ups and animal neglect investigations in the city’s area.
