2009 WAGGIN' TRAIL 5K - Huge Success for the Animals!

Hundreds of pet lovers joined the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) for the WAGGIN’ TRAIL 5K, the area’s original run/walk for the animals, on May 9 at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky. At the fundraiser, KHS also continued its yearlong celebration for its 125th birthday. The event included family-friendly activities, adoptable pets, low-cost microchipping, behavior and agility demos, contests, vendor booths, music, food and much more!

Thanks to everyone’s support, KHS raised nearly $90,000 at the 15th annual fundraising run/walk festival, which will help fund mission programs including adoptions, education and spay/neuter efforts!
