Foster Care Program

The Kentucky Humane Society has a wonderful network of foster care volunteers who open their homes and hearts -- for a few days or even a few months -- to care for more than 600 dogs and cats. Helping us throughout the year, these volunteers foster kittens, puppies, nursing mother cats and dogs, animals recuperating from injuries, and adoptable pets during times of overcrowding. 

 
Foster care volunteers enable KHS to save hundreds more dogs and cats each year that otherwise would be not possible.
