Animal Advocate Camp

Animal Advocate Camp is designed for young people ages 12-16, who have a passion for companion animals and want more hands-on experience with the shelter.  Along with being assigned a shelter animal to promote and care for, participants will...

  • Take a behind-the scenes tour of the shelter
  • Become familiar with animal issues such as dogfighting and puppymills
  • Learn how to become an animal advocate
  • Watch our vets perform a surgery
  • Experience presentations on animal-related careers and more!
*Due to limited availabilty and mature nature of this camp, potential participants must write a letter detailing why they would like to participate in the Animal Advocate Camp.


CAMP DATES
Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
KHS Main Campus
Ages 12-16
Weeklong Camp: $200

 

Extended care and Pizza Friday options also are available.
