Kentucky Humane Society Expands Services in East Louisville
New location will offer adoptions, humane education, behavior training, and more

The Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) is expanding its services in east Louisville. Located at 1000 Lyndon Lane near the Westport Village shopping center, this convenient location will offer adoptions, behavior training, Doggie Day Care, all-breed grooming and humane education programs.

KHS’ strategy has been to expand mission programs within the community. “This new location will allow KHS to expand the reach of our services and programs. We can save more lives, touch more people and ultimately make our community an even better place for animals and people,” says Lori Kane Redmon, President-CEO.

Behavior training classes will begin in early March, followed by pet adoptions in April. Doggie Day Care and grooming services will also be offered in the spring. In addition to KHS’ Summer Camp program at the main campus in south Louisville, the popular “Animal Adventure Camp” will be held weekly June 14 through July 12 at the new location.

The Kentucky Humane Society, founded in 1884, advocates the humane treatment of companion animals through leadership and proactive solutions to pet overpopulation, including adoptions, education and spay/neuter efforts.
