Resources to Help Reunite Lost or Found Pets
The Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) and Louisville Metro Animal Services (LMAS), our city's public shelter, reunite beloved
pets with their owners every week. Per city ordinance, both agencies keep stray pets for five days to allow their owners time to find them. After that time, the pets can be made available for adoption. If you have lost your pet, please check current stray listings at both KHS and LMAS, plus the Courier-Journal:
- View all strays currently at the Kentucky Humane Society
- View all stray dogs or cats currently at the Louisville Metro Animal Services
- View lost and found animals reported to LMAS, in the Courier-Journal and on Craigs List
