Two-year-old Chihuahua Baby Bear, came to the Kentucky Humane Society in October of 2015 after being transferred from an overcrowded shelter. When she arrived at KHS, she was very scared and didn’t adjust well to shelter life. We sent Baby Bear into a foster home to build her confidence but she reverted back to her shy self upon coming back to KHS for adoption.
Three-year-old Watson is a Chihuahua who made his debut in March of this year, when a kind police officer witnessed him get hit by a car. His finder brought him to KHS where he received the medical attention he desperately needed. While Watson’s health greatly improved, his happy spirit soon diminished in the shelter environment.
Baby Bear and Watson were moved into our Mighty Dog program to help build their confidence and it was through this program that they met and became inseparable. After months of friendship that blossomed into love, we decided to make it official and hold a ceremony to unite the pair.
Watson and Baby Bear, now Watson Bear and Baby Bear, are now on the search of a loving home to spend their days together. Do you have the time and desire to give these sweet newlyweds the honeymoon they deserve? If so, please come meet them at the Kentucky Humane Society! Both dogs are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations.
