Purrfect Day Café is the Kentucky Humane Society’s (KHS) largest cat adoption location. All cats are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated by KHS. Thanks to the partnership with Purrfect Day Café, KHS had its largest adoption year on record last year. And for the first time ever, cat adoptions outnumbered dog adoptions.
Even during the pandemic with social distancing requirements in place, Purrfect Day Café continues to break their own adoption records. In July 2020, 255 KHS cats were adopted at the café, compared to 178 in July 2019.
“Every time a cat finds their forever home, we celebrate. To watch an excited family go home with their new furry family member means the world to all of us at Purrfect Day Café,” said “purrprietor” Chuck Patton.
“We are so grateful for this incredible partnership, which has allowed KHS to radically impact the number of Kentucky cats we can save,” said Andrea Blair, KHS spokesperson. “Because of this partnership, KHS is helping not only cats in Jefferson County but also from a dozen other counties.”
Later this month, Purrfect Day Café will open a second location in Covington KY, partnering with Kenton County Animal Shelter to find homes for needy cats.
