Starting out as a volunteer dog walker, his contributions grew to include helping coordinate the Belly Bank program collecting donations around the city, and assisting with tasks such as paperwork and filing.
Bobby found his true calling when he and his partner, Jeffrey Vaughn, began taking photos and video clips of adoptable pets at KHS. Thousands of animals have found loving homes because of their hard work and dedication to this program.
After the sudden passing of Jeffrey in 2010, the pet photography studio was renamed the “Vaughn-Baumgardner Pet Photography Studio,” honoring their wish to “always be kind to animals.”
Jeffrey’s legacy of love and compassion continues to this day thanks to his decision to include KHS in his will. Bobby, too, is remembering KHS in his estate plans, and we are grateful to both of them for their decision to become Lifelong Friends for animals
