Ready for a new “fur-ever friend”? This Saturday the Kentucky Humane Society is offering $5 adoption fees for adult cats and $40 for select adult dogs during the national Clear the Shelters adoption event August 17.
The Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) invites the public to create a “pet independence day” for grateful shelter pets by adopting this weekend.
During the “Pet Independence Adoption Celebration” July 5-7, 2019, cats 4 months and older can be adopted for $4, and dogs 4 months and older can be adopted for $17.76, in honor of the founding of the country. Jefferson County adopters also pay for pet licensing fees ($10.50) and donations are gratefully accepted.
Almost every day of the week, needy animals are transported to the Kentucky Humane Society’s adoption program from overcrowded shelters. This journey helps KHS save the lives of over 3,500 animals a year.
This Saturday, December 1, Kentucky Humane Society adopters can give a grateful pet a home for the holidays and pay adoption fees of just $20 – thanks to BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters–Holiday Hope event.
Coldwell-Banker’s national “Homes for Dogs Project” is this weekend, and the McMahan Co. office, based in Crestwood KY, is teaming up with the Kentucky Humane Society to lower adoption fees for all adult pets.
