|Wendy (Adoption Ambassador)|
Meet wonderful Wendy! Wendy is a one-year-old Domestic Shorthair kitty who came to the Kentucky Humane Society in April of 2019 from an overcrowded shelter. Wendy was very, very shy when arrived at KHS. To help her gain confidence, we decided to send Wendy into a foster home while she waits for her forever home to come along. This little girl has come a long way in her foster home! While she will always be a shy cat who likes a quiet home, she enjoys being rubbed and petted once she knows you really well. Wendy's ideal home would be one with an older couple or individual with little to no visitors. She does great with friendly cats and would love a home with some felines to play with. Wendy's not a fan of dogs and keeps her distance from the dogs in her foster home. If given time and patience, Wendy will show you her true colors and be a loving friend to you and your family. Could you be the one she's been dreaming of? If so, please consider meeting her! Wendy is spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations.
Wendy is a member of our adoption ambassador program. As part of our ambassador program, some of our feline and canine friends have the opportunity to live in foster homes. This allows our staff to learn more about each animal's individual personality and needs, while they are in a more comfortable living space, outside of the shelter setting. The goal of the Adoption Ambassador program is for these foster animals to be adopted directly from their foster home.
If you are interested in meeting Wendy, please first submit an adoption application to our foster team by emailing [email protected] Once we have received your adoption application, our team will provide you with more information.
I came to the Kentucky Humane Society from another shelter. The staff are still learning all about me. I miss being in a home and have a lot of love to give.
