|Claudia (Bonded with Jamie) (Adoption Ambassador)|
Introducing Claudia and her brother Jamie! Claudia and Jamie are eight-month-old kittens who came to the Kentucky Humane Society when they were found stray at just a couple weeks old. After coming to KHS, we sent them into foster care so they could grow and learn to overcome their shyness. Claudia was named after a girl in a story who ran away to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (with her little brother Jamie) and hid out in the period rooms at night. This is because once they got into their foster home all they did was hide. After spending a few months in foster, Claudia isn't as shy anymore and she has helped her brother adjust to life with people. Claudia loves chasing wand toys, other cats and still likes to lounge in the bedroom all morning. She's got a bit of a wild tail that whips around behind her and a pair of hind legs that aren't exactly under her complete control. No one has found anything wrong with her, but she does fall down a lot and it can be extra challenging for her to jump and climb. Claudia isn't bothered by it though and she gets done 99% of what she sets out to do, but it's probably best that her new family is around regularly in case she gets stuck somewhere and needs rescuing. She will come to you for pets, but is not by any means a lap cat. And she's quite attached to her brother Jamie so they need a home together. Could you be the one for Claudia and Jamie? Both kitties are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Claudia is a member of our adoption ambassador program. As part of our ambassador program, some of our feline and canine friends have the opportunity to live in foster homes. This allows our staff to learn more about
each animal's individual personality and needs, while they are in a more comfortable living space, outside of the shelter setting. The goal of the Adoption Ambassador program is for these foster animals to be adopted directly from their foster home.
If you are interested in meeting Claudia (and Jamie), please first submit an online adoption application located at www.kyhumane.org/cat-app. Once we have received your adoption application, our foster team will follow up and provide you with more information.
