Meet the hilariously cranky Oscar! We won't call him a "grouch," because he's actually quite sweet. But being a senior citizen, he's allowed to be a bit cantankerous and set in his ways. Sadly, Oscar was surrendered to the Kentucky Humane Society when the family he had lived with for 12 years could no longer care for him. It was difficult for Oscar to adjust to the shelter with all of the strange noises and smells. But once he was in a foster home, his true personality came out. Oscar likes to "head butt" and give kisses, but he is not a fan of being held or having his tail touched. He loves watching the birds and sunbathing in a warm spot. Oscar does get stressed when he is around other cats, so we recommend a cat-free home where Oscar can provide endless entertainment to his owner. Here's what his foster parent said about this funny guy: "Oscar is really low key. He does really love pets and head scratches, but is somewhat of a grumpy fellow sometimes and mostly likes to be a couch potato. He can be really sweet though! He just needs someone who is relaxed like he is and is willing to figure him out. I am fond of EVERYTHING about Oscar." Could you be the one for this loving old man? Oscar is neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on vaccinations.
I came to the Kentucky Humane Society because my owner could no longer care for me. I miss being in a home and have a lot of love to give.
