|Gizmo (East Campus FELV + $5 Adoption Fee)|
Looking for an adorable kitten who will cherish you forever? Meet Gizmo! Gizmo is a six-month-old orange tabby who came to the Kentucky Humane Society when he was found in need of help. Upon arriving at KHS, Gizmo tested positive for Feline Leukemia or FeLV. While in other shelters Gizmo would be facing a grim fate because of his FeLV status, KHS believes he deserves a chance at a full life even if it is a shorter life! Because Gizmo is FeLV positive, he will need to be the only kitty in the home or go home with other FeLV kitties. Gizmo has spent the last few months in a foster home where we were able to learn all about him! Gizmo loves to talk, wrestle, snuggle and run around with his best buddy Bleu (another FeLV kitten who's looking for a home, maybe you could adopt them together!). This little guy loves looking out the window at birds and chatting with them in the afternoon. He also loves boiled chicken and will come running when you shake a bag of kitty treats! Gizmo gets along with small dogs and loves wrestling with them. All in all, he's just ready for someone special to bring him home! Could you be the one? Gizmo is neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Schedule an appointment to meet him by visiting kyhumane.org/cats today!
Kitties like me have a shorter lifespan due to Feline Leukemia (FeLV), but we still deserve the chance for a happy life. Because of my FeLV status, I must be the only kitty in my home or go to a household with other FeLV-positive cats, and I cannot be let outside. I will also need an adopter who understands that I will need more frequent veterinary checkups due to my condition. If you're interested in learning more about me and FeLV, please ask my adoption counselor for details.
