|Root Beer (Working Cat)|
WORKING CAT: I'm not socialized to people, and will likely always prefer minimal contact, but if you'll promise to provide me with food, water, and shelter, I'll be happy to help keep your barn free of rodents! Who knows, one day we might even be "friends"- at a distance.
HOW TO ADOPT A WORKING CAT: Working Cats are cats that are not appropriate for home adoption, but thrive in suitable indoor/outdoor homes, such as barns, warehouses, or garages. Due to the popularity of this program there is typically a 1-4 week waiting period before adopters are matched with their Working Cats. To inquire about how to adopt a Working Cat, email the KHS Cat Coordinator at [email protected] or call 366-3355 ext. 2260. I came to the Kentucky Humane Society from another shelter. The staff are still learning all about me. I miss being in a home and have a lot of love to give.
