|Maverick (Main Campus) (Waived Adoption Fee)|
Are you looking for a loyal friend? Someone who will keep you company and sit by your feet on those tough days? We've got just the pal for you! Meet our handsome buddy Maverick. Maverick is a seven-year-old Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier mix who weighs 55 pounds and came to the Kentucky Humane Society when his family could no longer care for him. Now he's ready to find his true forever home and family! Despite being over seven years old, Maverick still has a lot of energy and loves to be on the move. He enjoys playing tug, fetch, going for long walks and hikes with his people and playing with other dogs. He would love to meet any potential dog friends to make sure they'll want to play with him too! Maverick does not like cats and thoroughly believes they cannot be trusted! Because of this, he needs a cat-free home and family. In his previous home, Maverick did not like being left alone and struggled with some mild anxiety. He'll need a patient family who can help him feel secure when they're away. Maverick is a very loving guy who appears house-trained and is ready to settle down with a family who will love him as much as we do. If you're in the market for an adorable Velcro-companion, come meet Maverick today! Maverick is neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Waived Adoption Fee:
My adoption fee is waived! I am on promotion because I have been available a bit longer than the other pets at KHS, and am ready to find my forever home. When you meet me, you can choose to foster me for two weeks or adopt me right away! I am spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on my vaccinations. Jefferson County residents will need to pay a $10.50 licensing fee and donations are gratefully appreciated!
I came to the Kentucky Humane Society because my owner could no longer care for me. I miss being in a home and have a lot of love to give.
