|Otto (In Training) ($100 Adoption Fee)|
Otto's adoption fee is reduced. In October, Neil Huffman Subaru and Subaru of America are donating $100 toward the adoption fees of select dogs at the Kentucky Humane Society in honor of Subaru's "loves pets" month. One dog a day will be chosen to be added to this special. Because Otto's normal adoption fee is $200, his adoption fee is $100 in October. Adopters in Jefferson County are responsible for $10.50 licensing, and donations are gratefully accepted!
Say hello to Otto! This big lovebug of a Labrador Retriever came to the Kentucky Humane Society when his owner lost their home and could not keep him. Otto is six years old and weighs about 80 lbs. He was over 100lbs when he first came to KHS! Due to his weight he has mild hip dysplasia but he doesn't let that bother him! It's crucial that his family help him keep off that weight and keep him active to help him stay comfortable and happy for the rest of his life. When Otto came to KHS he had a mass on his leg. Our vet staff removed that and now this pup is on his way to enjoying life to its fullest! Otto has lived with another dog and enjoys being around them. Otto is approved to go home with children ages 10 and up. This handsome guy has not been around cats so we're unsure how he feels about kitty friends. Otto has spent some time in a foster home and his foster parents say he is house-trained, loves to lay in the yard and run in circles. We have found that Otto takes several days to settle in to a new place so he needs a family that can be patient with him and give him time to adjust. Overall, he's an incredible boy who just needs some love! Otto is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his shots. All he's missing is you!
Otto is a student in our dog training program. Please read his description above. After reading his description in full, and if you are interested in meeting him, please submit an online adoption application located at www.kyhumane.org/dog-app. Once we have received your adoption application, our behavior team will follow up and provide you with more information. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
I came to the Kentucky Humane Society because my owner could no longer care for me. I miss being in a home and have a lot of love to give.
