Pam's adoption fee is reduced. In October, Neil Huffman Subaru and Subaru of America are donating $100 toward the adoption fees of select dogs at the Kentucky Humane Society in honor of Subaru's "loves pets" month. One dog a day will be chosen to be added to this special. Because Pam's normal adoption fee is $200, her adoption fee is $100 in October. Adopters in Jefferson County are responsible for $10.50 licensing, and donations are gratefully accepted!

Say hello to our favorite girl, Pam! This adorable happy American Pit Bull Terrier mix is about five years old and looking for a family who will love her forever! We found Pam at one of our locations - whether she was intentionally abandoned there or fatefully found her way to us, we don't know. But it's a good thing Pam found us when she did! This poor dog had a horrible ear infection that completely closed her ear, a broken tail, a swollen leg, and itchy red skin. With her additional skinny and scarred appearance, we can only assume Pam hasn't been properly cared for in a long time. Despite her rough start, Pam is happy to see everyone! She has met a few dogs while at KHS, and although she can pass by them well - Pam seems like she doesn't have the socialization skills needed to live with them. So we're looking for a home without other dogs for this cutie pie! She is quick to greet us and makes us laugh with her expressions. Her ear infection required some detailed surgery, and she no longer has an external right ear. We've treated her physical hurts, but her heart is still in need of some healing. The only thing we can prescribe for that is adoption! Pam is eager to show you how good of a dog she is; she isn't letting her past hold her back. Won't you give her a home as loving as she is? Pam is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her shots. All she's missing is you!

I spent some time on the road, but a kind person took me to the Kentucky Humane Society. I am finished with my rambling ways and am ready to find a loving home.
