|Piglet (HW+) (Main Campus) (Waived Adoption Fee)|
Say hello to our adorable lady, Piglet! Piglet is a five-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix who weighs 42 pounds and came to the Kentucky Humane Society when she was found as a stray and never claimed. Now this lucky lady is ready for a fresh start with a family who adores her! Piglet can be a little timid when meeting some new people, but once she is comfortable she is an absolutely lovely lady who is deserving of the brightest future ever! She is working on housetraining and does very well when taken outside regularly. Piglet loves to roll in the grass, will help with gardening and digging up those pesky weeds, and delights in burying her bones in her dog bed. Piglet has spent some time with one of our staff members hanging out in their office and her gentle snores make a great sound track for computer work. Pig loves to play tug of war and hop around after her toys. She adores receiving belly rubs while sprawled across your lap and is the silliest little goofball. If she sounds like she could be the love of your life, come meet her today! When Piglet arrived at KHS, she tested positive for heartworms. Heartworms are not contagious to other animals and are contracted when an animal is bitten by a mosquito carrying the disease. Don't worry though, heartworms are treatable and KHS will continue to provide our beautiful Piglet with treatment until she tests negative for those pesky worms. In the meantime, she will just need to be on restricted exercise in her new home until she is free of heartworms. Piglet has shown she is uncomfortable with cats and needs a home without feline friends. She would like to meet any resident dogs or children before adoption to make sure she is a great fit for the family. If you're looking for a total sweetie who is deserving of a chance, come see Piglet today! Piglet is spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations.
Waived Adoption Fee:
My adoption fee is waived! I am on promotion because I have been available a bit longer than the other pets at KHS, and am ready to find my forever home. When you meet me, you can choose to foster me for two weeks or adopt me right away! I am spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on my vaccinations. Jefferson County residents will need to pay a $10.50 licensing fee and donations are gratefully appreciated!
