|Piglet (HW+) (Waived Adoption Fee) (In Training)|
Hi there! Are looking for someone to join your brunch party? I'm a five-year-old foodie looking for a buddy! I look like an American "Pig" Bull Terrier and came to the Kentucky Humane Society after being found as a stray. When I told the humans at KHS my name was Peggy, they must have thought I said "Piggy!" Everyone always laughs at my snorts, my love for food, and my overall tendency to bulldoze into a new patch of grass. Thus, the nickname Piglet was born! I can't complain, though. My goal in life is to eat bread and desserts and get all fat and sassy...so I'd say I'm on the right track! I don't consider myself particularly athletic but adore playing tug of war and chasing my giggle ball around the room. And with my snuggles, you'll never have a "boaring" day! But I can't lead a "live, laugh, love" lifestyle when other animals are ruining my vibes! I'm fine smiling at neighbor dogs during my morning potty. But when I'm done, I want to go back inside to the peace and quiet without Sally the Snowshoe trying to sell me essential oils or Hank the Husky trying to reach me about my car's extended warranty. I just want to hang with ladies, order nachos from DoorDash, and sunbathe without the hassle of other pets! I'm kind of a pig deal, after all. Because I'm a homebody through and through, meeting new people is my least favorite thing. I'm most comfortable with a woman or two by my side! If you're looking for a pup that's more of a "gal's gal," I could be your pal! I'm also spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on my shots. I also appear housetrained!
When Piglet arrived at KHS, she tested positive for heartworms. Heartworms are not contagious to other animals and are contracted when an animal is bitten by a mosquito carrying the disease. Don't worry though, heartworms are treatable and KHS will continue to provide our beautiful Piglet with treatment until she tests negative for those pesky worms. In the meantime, she will just need to be on restricted exercise in her new home until she is free of heartworms. Piglet has shown she is uncomfortable with other animals and needs a home without animals friends. If you're looking for a total sweetie who is deserving of a chance, come meet Piglet today
Waived Adoption Fee:
My adoption fee is waived! I am on promotion because I have been available a bit longer than the other pets at KHS, and am ready to find my forever home. When you meet me, you can choose to foster me for two weeks or adopt me right away! I am spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on my vaccinations. Jefferson County residents will need to pay a $10.50 licensing fee and donations are gratefully appreciated!
