|Joanna (In Training)|
They say dogs are man's best friend, but Joanna is definitely a woman's best friend. This adorable 18 pound Chihuahua mix came to the Kentucky Humane Society from another shelter. She has shown us pretty clearly that she a ladies gal and would prefer the company of woman only. Of course the first thing you notice about this adorable pup is her glorious ears! They are big, just like her personality. At only a year old Joanna is energetic and still learning, but she's a very eager student. She absolutely loves to play with other dogs and will chase or wrestle. She would do great in a home with another confident and playful dog buddy. She loves to jump and run and may be a great agility or dog sport candidate. As we mentioned, Joanna can struggle with meeting men, they are scary to her and it can take her a while to warm up. Joanna is much more comfortable with women and will typically warm up to them very quickly. She needs a home that understands this and is willing to work with her. She would love to meet any people and dogs in the home prior to going home. Joanna is spayed, micro-chipped, and up to date on vaccinations. See below for information on how to meet Joanna.
Joanna is part of our shelter dog training program. If you are interested in meeting her, please first submit an online adoption application located at the following URL: www.kyhumane.org/dog-app.
Once we have received your adoption application, our staff trainers will follow up and provide you with more information.
