Hey there! My name is Bartholomew but you can call me Bart, or Bart Man, or Big Bart, or really whatever you'd like. I want to tell you my story. I should warn you, it starts out sad, but I promise it gets better! At the beginning of June my family left me in a crate outside of the Kentucky Humane Society. They didn't leave a note or anything so the staff didn't know why, but I like to believe it's because they loved me and wanted me to have a better life. When the KHS people found me I was scared and not sure what to think. Then they gave me yummy Vienna sausages and I started opening up and allowed them to give me butt and chin scratches!
One day the best thing happened, my human friend brought me home! She calls me a "foster" and says that it's not permanent but that I get to stay here until I find the absolute best, most amazing home. While I'm in foster I'm learning all this fun stuff, and my friends are learning about me too. I really LOVE comfy beds and blankets, and basically anything snuggly. I've also learned about this place called "McDonalds" recently - did you know they have chicken nuggets there?? Man, I love those things... and pretty much any snack. My foster mom has even learned that bribery is the way to my heart AND my head. I have been doing great with my training, and now I know all sorts of tricks! I also really love dog friends. Chasey games are my favorite kind, and my foster siblings don't seem to mind! I don't like cats all that much, so I'd really prefer a cat-free home.
Other things about me that you might want to know - I'm potty trained, crate trained and a very good boy when left alone (I promise!). My foster mom says I'm microchipped, vaccinated and neutered, but I don't know what that means. Anyway, that's my story so far and as you can see it's not over. Will you help me find my new family and give me that happy ending I so deserve?
