|Baggins (Main Campus)|
Greetings everyone! Baggins here and I think I'm quite ready for another adventure. Let me tell you all about myself! I am a five-year-old Shepherd mix who weighs 65 lbs and loves life. I wandered over to the Kentucky Humane Society after being transferred from an overcrowded shelter and boy was I in rough shape! I had scabs all over me, my fur was matted, my nails were overgrown and my ear was very, very painful. The vet team here at KHS went right to work helping me get better! They shaved the fur that was matted and gave me a good bath and then the veterinarian discovered I needed a left lateral ear canal resection. They removed a mass from my ear canal and repaired my ear canal opening. Now I'm feeling like a whole new man! My ear isn't painful anymore and I can hear very well. I may need follow up care in the future for this but our adoption counselors can give you all those details when you come to meet me. While I was healing from all my wounds, I spent time in a foster home and it was so much fun. My foster parents loved having me and say I am a happy, active boy who is very treat driven. I mean who doesn't love a good treat?! Jerky treats or pupperoni are my personal favorites. My foster parents also say I am house-trained, good with kiddos, ignored cats and just whined a bit when a dog came by. I haven't had much time with other dogs so I'd love to meet any potential canine siblings. Could you be the great adventure I've been waiting for? I sure hope so! I am neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations.
I came to the Kentucky Humane Society from another shelter. The staff are still learning all about me. I miss being in a home and have a lot of love to give.
