|Brittany (HW+) ($9.97)|
Meet Brittany, a spunky Shepherd/Beagle mix. She came to the Kentucky Humane Society from another shelter and is about two years old. The staff describe Brittany as friendly, fearless and a lover of all things good. She'll do just about anything for a treat and is a master of the command sit. Brittany's favorite thing in the world is to have her belly rubbed. She will run in your lap and immediately flop over for a good belly rub. At a little under 30 lbs, Brittany is on the smaller side, but she has an adventurous heart. Brittany prefers the company of her people and isn't a fan of other animals. Because of this, she needs to be the only pet in the home. When Brittany came to KHS she was heartworm positive and she is undergoing treatment. An Adoption Counselor can explain the process further. If you are looking for an active new friend with a big personality, please come see Brittany. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, micro-chipped and ready for a loving new home.
Brittany was a featured star on our 99.7 DJX Wet Nose Wednesday segment! Because of this, she has an adoption fee of $9.97 and her adopters get a free photoshoot with Brittany at Studio 351 after adoption. Come meet Brittany today!
This dog has been diagnosed as heartworm positive (HW+) and is undergoing treatment. While under treatment, there are certain exercise restrictions as well as a requirement to return to the shelter for further treatments until the dog is heartworm-free. An adoption counselor will be happy to explain the process of adopting and more about the parasite that causes heartworms. Due to the need to return for monthly treatment after taking a HW+ dog home, the adopter must live in one of the following counties to be approved for adoption: Jefferson, Bullitt, Spencer, Henry, Trimble, and Shelby counties
I came to the Kentucky Humane Society from another shelter. The staff are still learning all about me. I miss being in a home and have a lot of love to give.
