|Goofy (Adoption Ambassador)|
Meet Goofy! Goofy is a ten-month-old Labrador mix who came to the Kentucky Humane Society from an overcrowded shelter. Right away, we noticed that Goofy was special. His right eye is higher than his left eye, his snout seems to curve upward and his ears are extremely close together, sitting directly on top of his head. Along with his physical abnormalities, Goofy also shows some neurological symptoms. He has a tendency to walk in circles, his head tilts and he bounces up and down when he gets excited. Because the shelter is a bit overwhelming for Goofy, he is staying in a foster home while he waits for his forever home to come along. While Goofy may be a little different than other dogs, he doesn't seem to notice or mind! He is a playful puppy and very lovable. His foster mom says cuddling is Goofy's absolute favorite. If you are sitting on the couch, he wants to be right next to you or even on top of you as he's convinced he's a lapdog. Goofy has met other dogs while in foster care and has interacted great with everyone. However, he would do best in a home without feline friends. He does have some trouble with stairs and jumping onto things (such as getting in/out of cars) which may be due to his vision and balance issues but he will try and try until he succeeds... even if it means crawling onto them. Goofy deserves a loving home that can provide him with the attention that he deserves. Attention & love is all he wants and needs. He is special-so patience is required, but as soon as he trusts you, the love is undeniable. Could you be that special family that Goofy has been waiting for? Goofy is neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Since he thrives being in a home, Goofy is going to stay with his foster family until his forever person comes along. If you're looking for a sweet, furry friend, please consider Goofy! To meet Goofy, email us a dog adoption application found at www.kyhumane.org . The adoption application can be sent to our foster coordinator at [email protected] . I came to the Kentucky Humane Society from another shelter. The staff are still learning all about me. I miss being in a home and have a lot of love to give.
