Meet the big and beautiful Gucci! This one-year-old Labrador Retriever/Border Collie mix came back to the Kentucky Humane Society after a few mismatches. Most of Gucci's previous families were not prepared for his athletic personality. Now he's looking for his true forever home! Gucci is a big boy weighing in at 85 pounds. He loves people, going for walks, chasing squirrels, playing with toys and exploring. Due to his previous condo and apartment experiences, we can see Gucci will not thrive in those settings. Instead, he would greatly benefit from a house with a fenced in yard to provide him an outlet for his energy and smarts. Gucci is such a personable dog and looks forward to learning new things! If you have any doggy friends at home, Gucci would love to meet them to see if they can be best buddies! With his desire to chase squirrels, he would do best in a home without cat friends. He has met some dogs and did well, though. Gucci appears mostly house-trained and just wants to belong. Could he be the one for you? Gucci is neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations.

As part of our ambassador program, some of our feline and canine friends have the opportunity to live in foster homes. This allows our staff to learn more about each animal's individual personality and needs, while they are in a more comfortable living space, outside of the shelter setting. The goal of the Adoption Ambassador program is for these foster animals to be adopted directly from their foster home. We need your help to care for the thousands of dogs, cats, and horses we take in each year. The Kentucky Humane Society saves every adoptable animal and provides them with food, shelter, spay/neuter surgeries, medical and behavioral assistance and then finds them loving homes. Your sponsorship of a special animal will help us save more lives! In addition, you can choose to Sponsor a Animal in honor of a loved one (two-legged or four-legged).
