|Caddo (Adoption Ambassador)|
Hi, my name is Caddo but my foster mom calls me The Cade Man. I am about eight months old and can be a little shy of new things. I found myself at the Kentucky Humane Society when I was transferred from an overcrowded shelter at four months old. When I arrived, I was very scared of everything! KHS does not know too much about my past but my foster mom and the rest of my foster family are working with me to help me learn how fun it can be to be a dog and come out of my shell. I currently live with 2 foster fur brothers, a human sister who is 7 and my foster mom and dad. I like to watch my foster brothers to see what to do and follow them around. Sometimes I have to have one of my brothers go outside with me in order for me to go potty. I'm just a little unsure of myself and having a confident dog around really helps. Because of this, I would feel much better being in a home with a dog who doesn't mind showing me the ropes and hanging out with me. I do like to sit back and observe, so I would like to go to a family who can respect when I need a little time alone. I may seem shy at first but once I open up, I love to run, play and cuddle. Are you the right family for me? I am neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Caddo is a member of our adoption ambassador program.
As part of our ambassador program, some of our feline and canine friends have the opportunity to live in foster homes. This allows our staff to learn more about each animal's individual personality and needs, while they are in a more comfortable living space, outside of the shelter setting. The goal of the Adoption Ambassador program is for these foster animals to be adopted directly from their foster home.
If you are interested in meeting Caddo, please first submit an adoption application to our foster team by emailing [email protected] Once we have received your adoption application, our team will provide you with more information.
