|Tyson (HW+)($9.97 Adoption Fee)|
Meet our beautiful brindle boy, Tyson! Tyson is a five-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix who originally came to the Kentucky Humane Society from an overcrowded shelter. He was adopted for a short time but unfortunately his family's housing changed and he was no longer allowed to live with them. Tyson is sad to see his family go but is ready to move on with a new family! Tyson is a super sweet guy who is very laidback and gentle. He loves people and gives big sloppy kisses to everyone who meets him. While Tyson is a big guy, he has great manners and doesn't pull on the leash. Tyson is not a fan of sharing his home with other animals and because of this, he does need to be the only pet in the home. This gorgeous guy weighs 60 lbs and has a smile that lights up the room. Could you be the one for him? If so, please come meet him! Tyson is neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations.
Tyson was a featured star on our 99/7 DJX Wet Nose Wednesday segment sponsored by Bill Collins Ford Lincoln. Thanks to our friends, you can adopt Tyson for a reduced adoption fee of $9.97 and get a gift card to Feeders Supply to take Tyson on a shopping spree! Come meet Tyson today!
This dog has been diagnosed as heartworm positive (HW+) and is undergoing treatment. While under treatment, there are certain exercise restrictions as well as a requirement to return to the shelter for further treatments until the dog is heartworm-free. An adoption counselor will be happy to explain the process of adopting and more about the parasite that causes heartworms. Due to the need to return for monthly treatment after taking a HW+ dog home, the adopter must live in one of the following counties to be approved for adoption: Jefferson, Bullitt, Spencer, Henry, Trimble, and Shelby counties.
I came to the Kentucky Humane Society from another shelter. The staff are still learning all about me. I miss being in a home and have a lot of love to give.
