|Peabody (East Campus)($150 Adoption Fee)|
Introducing Peabody! This small but mighty pooch came to the Kentucky Humane Society from an overcrowded shelter. Peabody only weighs about 11 pounds and appears to be a four-year-old Chihuahua mix. When Peabody arrived, we noticed he had some significant hair loss all over his body. After running some tests, we discovered why: Peabody has hypothyroidism. His condition is managed by daily medication, and it's important to follow up with a vet with any treatment plan. His fur may never grow back, but Peabody is still as confident as ever. He's just looking for a home to relax in. Think you could be the one? He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his shots. Head over to kyhumane.org/dogs to schedule an adoption appointment and to check if Peabody is still available!
I came to the Kentucky Humane Society from another shelter. The staff are still learning all about me. I miss being in a home and
have a lot of love to give.
Dog of the Day:
In October, Neil Huffman Subaru and Subaru of America are donating $100 toward the adoption fees of select dogs at the Kentucky Humane Society in honor of Subaru's "loves pets" month. One dog a day will be chosen to be added to this special. Because of this, Peabody's adoption fee is $150 in October. Adopters in Jefferson County are responsible for $10.50 licensing, and donations are gratefully accepted!
