|Lilo (Adoption Ambassador)|
Say hello to Lilo! This three-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix is 36 lbs of pure goofball and is looking for a new family. She was returned to the Kentucky Humane Society after the resident dog decided Lilo was no longer welcome. Like a typical Staffy, Lilo enjoys active walks and is very personable. She's nearly 40 pounds but still considers herself a bit of a lap dog. Lilo is currently on longterm medicine to help her anxiety while in the shelter. While she would probably thrive as the only dog in the home, she's open to the possibility of a canine friend. If you have a doggy friend at home, please bring them in for a meet and greet to see if they can be best buds! Lilo is currently in foster care with a cat and enjoys cuddling up with him so a cat home is definitely a possibility for Lilo! Could you be the one she's been looking for? Lilo is spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on her shots.
Lilo is a member of our adoption ambassador program. As part of our ambassador program, some of our feline and canine friends have the opportunity to live in foster homes. This allows our staff to learn more about each animal's individual personality and needs, while they are in a more comfortable living space, outside of the shelter setting. The goal of the Adoption Ambassador program is for these foster animals to be adopted directly from their foster home.
If you are interested in meeting Lilo, please first submit an online adoption application located at www.kyhumane.org/dog-app. Once we have received your adoption application, our foster team will follow up and provide you with more information.
I came to the Kentucky Humane Society from another shelter. The staff are still learning all about me. I miss being in a home and have a lot of love to give.
