Flossy is a student in our Behavior Modification program. Please read her description below. After reading her description in full, and if you are interested in meeting her, you must submit an online adoption application located at www.kyhumane.org/dog-app. Once we have received your adoption application, our behavior team will follow up and provide you with more information. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
Meet the gorgeous and lively Flossy! Flossy is an adorable, nine-month-old Terrier mix who weighs 35 lbs and is looking for a home. Our darling Flossy came to the Kentucky Humane Society with a very traumatic story: this poor puppy had been shot through the mouth. We gave her the best of medical care and helped heal her wounds, but we are still working on healing her heart and helping her trust. Once Flossy knows you are her friend, she is so sweet and can be a real snuggle bug. Out in the world, Flossy can get very overstimulated and anxious when seeing new people or animals. Sadly, the world has proven itself to be a scary place for Flossy and she will need a family who can commit to helping her feel safe and continue her training plan. We will provide follow up training support for her adoptive family as well. Flossy spent time in a foster home while she healed and we were able to learn more about this scruffy princess! Flossy's foster says she is house-trained and crate trained, loves to play with toys, play fetch and to be outside. Interacting with other dogs has been challenging for Flossy and while she's been able to make a few friends, she takes time to warm up to them. Because of everything Flossy has been through, we feel it's best that she go home as the only dog in the family. Flossy is spayed, micro-chipped, up-to-date on her vaccinations and ready to feel whole again with the help of amazing family. Could you be the one she has been waiting for?
