Faye is an aged pony mare who came to KHS from a rescue situation. She has lost her eyesight at some point, has experienced some laminitis in her life (not recently), and is on Prascend medicine for Cushings. Despite all the challenges against her, she gets around very well, really enjoys going to walks around the farm, and seems to be a happy little lady. Faye loads very well on a horse trailer and navigates terrain well. Faye has more recently responded well to clicker training with a staff member and enjoys positive interactions. She still does not like having her hind hooves trimmed but we think with a little more time and understanding she will eventually learn to tolerate this. Faye seems to have excellent hearing, navigates stepping in and out of her run-in stall very well, and really deserves a soft place to land. We are also interested in anyone who can offer a long term foster spot for Faye.
