Little Orphan Andy came to KHS because his rescuer found him abandoned by his feral free roaming mother in the mountains and several unrelated adult horses were trying to harm him. The rescuer was able to keep him safe but his mother was nowhere to be found and he needed medical intervention to survive. We were able to get him to an emergency hospital where they saved his life and once he was released to come back to our farm we'd already started hormone induced lactation on a rescued mare named Una. Una adopted Andy and they've been living together happily ever since. Andy is growing healthy and strong, but he is a small fellow. Once he's weaned and castrated, he will be available for adoption. Andy is VERY charismatic and friendly. He loves attention from people! Andy may be gaited as his heritage is that of mixed Kentucky Mountain Saddle horses. You can apply to adopt and be placed on a waitlist for Andy when he's ready for adoption, he currently does not have any interested adopters on file.
