Corabelle is a smart and inquisitive mare. She is believed to be an Arabian / Quarter Horse cross. Corabelle was orphaned as a foal and was hand-raised by someone but later in life found herself abandoned at a boarding facility. She enjoys attention but can be a tad quirky at times. We are working with Corabelle because prior to intake she never was taught to lift her legs for farrier care. She self-wears her hooves fairly well but still needs work on handling her legs and hooves for care procedures in the future. If you are a patient person who appreciates an intelligent mare, Corabelle could make a wonderful companion. She also could be trained to ride, even though its later than horses traditionally start saddle training she does seem like she is open to training and would be a fun little personal project for someone. Arabians tend to have a longer lifespan than some other breeds, so she likely has many happy years ahead.
