Jorja is a Morgan/Thoroughbred cross mare who is 15.1hh tall and 13 years old. She is a recent owner surrender to KHS and was not a rescue, nor has she experienced any neglect. By all accounts Jorja has been well treated and well cared-for her entire life. She has experience with Prelim Combined Driving, recreational riding, and a bit of low level dressage work. Jorja can at times be a bit tight and tense under saddle, so we will be working with her to determine if this is an issue that can be resolved, or if she would be happiest as a driving or companion horse. She is not now and will not likely be a beginner horse due to the aforementioned tension issues in case they were to arise again in the future or be an ongoing concern. Please check back with kyhumane.org for updates on her progress/evaluation. Her adoption fee will be greater than $500, but will also depend upon ongoing evaluation/training.
