MARCH 2020 – We are thrilled that the Banfield Foundation has awarded the Kentucky Humane Society a grant of $9,995. KHS plans to use the grant to provide in-home veterinary care dogs and cats owned by homebound seniors, who often struggle to get their pets’ vaccines and wellness needs met. Clients will be identified through a partnership with Southwest Ministries’ Meals on Wheels Program. Grant funds will also provide dog training for financially struggling families, with the goal of keeping dogs in their homes and out of animal shelters.

“We are thrilled to partner with Banfield Foundation in helping dogs and cats and the people who love them,” says Shelby Schulz, who will manage this program. “With their help, we look forward to keeping more families together.”
