The Kentucky Humane Society's Steedly location is closed, May 6 for Derby. Our Healthy Pets Clinic and Admissions offices are closed. Our Lyndon Campus is closed as well. We are open Friday during Oaks. You may visit any of our nine Louisville area Feeders Supply adoption locations on Saturday to view animals and to adopt.

Have a safe and happy Derby.

Give by Dec. 31 for 2016 Tax Deductions

Interested in making a donation to the Kentucky Humane Society before Dec. 31? Here's how:

Picture Your Pets with Santa - held at all 17 Feeders Supply stores Dec. 3-4 and 10-11 - raised over $100,000 for five local animal charities: the Kentucky Humane Society, Floyd County (Ind.) Animal Rescue League, Shamrock Pet Foundation, Saving Sunny Inc., and the Franklin County (KY) Humane Society.

Louisville radio stations are running ads against a national humane society. We want to assure you that KHS is a local nonprofit and is not a chapter of any national humane group.

A second donor has offered to match every donation to the Kentucky Humane Society before Dec. 31, 2016.

The Kentucky Humane Society's annual fundraiser Picture Your Pets with Santa will arrive with the holiday season, and we need your help. We are looking for Santas and other volunteers to make this event happen.
