Book a Private Screen of 'Sgt Stubby: An American Hero'

The Kentucky Humane Society is proud to announce our partnership with Fun Academy Motion Pictures on the upcoming animated film SGT. STUBBY: AN AMERICAN HERO, based on the incredible true story of America’s most decorated dog!

After being rescued off the streets by a young Soldier on the eve of World War I, Stubby is given a home, a family, and the chance to embark on the adventure that would define a century. Marching into theaters on April 13, 2018!

As a celebration of this heartwarming tale, Fun Academy is giving back to communities by recruiting a network of non-profit animal organizations and institutional partnerships across North America, highlighting the important role service animals play in society through the true story of America’s most renowned stray dog.

You don’t have to wait to begin planning your trip to the world of Sgt. Stubby – Fun Academy Motion Pictures’ group sales department is standing by to help you organize an activity, field trip or fundraiser in your hometown when the film hits theaters nationwide on April 13, 2018:


  1. Visit
  2. Select what type of event you’re booking – Private Screening (i.e. buying out a theater for a single group) or School Event (i.e. a field trip before or during normal operating hours)
  3. Fill out the form to include your preferred theater, time slot, and number of tickets required
  4. Work with a Fun Academy group sales agent to confirm placement and price
  5. Enjoy the show!

Fun Academy has also provided activity guides and sample standards-based curriculum suggestions, available for FREE DOWNLOAD on the film’s website, to assist educators integrate Sgt. Stubby into the classroom prior to a trip to the theater.
