I give to animals because they are dependent on people to live and thrive, and sometimes, people fail them. I’ve seen animals who have experienced terrible acts of abuse and neglect who are still able to greet a person with love and a desire to be loved. I’ve seen animals some might consider “damaged” heal and find a perfect forever home.
I’m a firm believer in second chances, and these animals deserve the second chance we can give them.
I give to the Kentucky Humane Society in particular because I believe in their holistic approach to animal welfare—by helping animals and, when we can, the animals’ families. I am humbled every day by the compassion and care my co-workers show to companion animals. Their love saves lives daily. I’ve seen animals who only made it because of the care our people provide.
I live for these animals and for my co-workers. I have faith in the way the Kentucky Humane Society works to save shattered lives. I want to help in every way possible. If I am able to donate, I am happy to do it.
Today, during Shelter Staff Appreciation Week, I’d like to match any donations made, up to $2,000. It’s my way of saying thank you to the Kentucky Humane Society and my co-workers for all they do to improve the lives of companion animals.
Will you join me in giving to the Kentucky Humane Society? I can match your donation, and together we can do twice the good.
