Halo Finds an Angel

In August of 2018, the Kentucky Humane Society received an adorable Terrier Mix named Halo from an overcrowded shelter.

When Halo arrived at KHS, her front-left leg was so badly broken that it had to be amputated. After spending some time healing, she arrived at our Hikes Point Feeders Supply adoption site. She was still learning to walk on three legs when she met her mama-to-be Ann.

Ann saw Halo and fell head over heels in love with her. She adopted the little dog, and ever since then has always kept in touch with us on how well Halo is doing. We’ve loved all of the updates from Ann on how well Halo has adapted to her home and her three legs (she now apparently has no issues and can run and frolic with all the agility and enthusiasm as a four-legged-dog).

Ann has always raved about what a great match we made for much she appreciates what we do...and how much she and Halo were made for each other. She has said that she cannot imagine life without Halo.

We want to take a moment and thank Ann for choosing Halo and for loving her so much. Halo’s story warms our hearts and we are so grateful to the kindness of adopters like Ann. Congratulations on your perfect match Halo!
