Aurelia Zilinskas is a full-time student at the University of Louisville. She is two months away from graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Aurelia currently volunteers at the Sam Swope Pet TLC in the Pet Photography Department. Aurelia assists with photographing and posing animals for pictures. This program focuses on capturing high-quality images of adoptable animals that our staff uses on the website and for PR/marketing purposes. She is thankful for “the opportunity to meet and interact with each pet as they become a great memory to me,” she says.
LOUISVILLE - Dogs and cats in Kentucky’s rural communities will soon be getting extra help – thanks to a $1.2 million grant awarded to the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) by WaterShed Animal Fund.
Dear Friend of the Animals,
Wilbur came to us after his family fell apart. He was a loving nine-year-old dog, but neglect left him with a melon-sized tumor on his chest. Thanks to your partnership, Wilbur's story has a happy ending -- something we want for all homeless animals.
Park Community Credit Union (PCCU) and its members have donated more than $107,000 to the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) over the past seven years, with almost half the funds raised by members who chose a co-branded, animal-themed debit card with a $5 donation to KHS.
