From Trash to Treasure

Maxie, a three-month-old Chihuahua/greyhound mix, was dumped on the side of Dixie Highway like so much trash. Abandoned, the poor girl could have easily run into the street and been another dead dog by the side of the road.

Fortunately for Maxie, fate was smiling, and a woman who saw the pup being abandoned stopped her car and coaxed the puppy into her own vehicle. Unable to keep Maxie herself, this Good Samaritan sought the aid of the Kentucky Humane Society to care for the puppy and find her a forever home.
