BISSELL Pet Foundation (BPF) is aiming to bring holiday hope to homeless pets with its national Empty the Shelters – Holiday Hope event. On Dec. 13-14, 2019, BPF will support over 110 shelters by offering reduced-fee pet adoptions – including the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) and Metro Animal Services (MAS).
During these days, KHS is reducing adoption fees on dogs to $25 and will be charging no adoption fees on cats. MAS is waiving all adoption fees both days for all cats and dogs, thanks to BPF and the non-profit, Friends of Metro Animal Services.
I wish it weren’t so, but there are animals in Kentucky who have never known true love. Animals like Tami.
A big thanks to Jeremy Bewley, DMD, DICOI, of Cornerstone Dental who donated a dental handpiece to the Kentucky Humane Society! This equipment retails for about $1,600, and we so appreciate this amazing donation!
LOUISVILLE KY – Coldwell-Banker’s national “Homes for Dogs Project” is this weekend, and the McMahan Co. office, based in Crestwood KY, is teaming up with the Kentucky Humane Society to lower adoption fees for all adult animals at the KHS East Campus, 1000 Lyndon Lane.
In recognition of FEMA’s National Preparedness Month in September, the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) is joining Hill’s Pet Nutrition and its network of animal shelter partners in a community awareness campaign to promote pet preparedness. Participating shelters provide pet parents with practical pet preparedness tips, including instructions for families to put together an emergency go-kit for their pets should an emergency strike.
