Westport Village Fall Fashion Show

Love fashion and looking for something fun to do this fall? Get ready to experience the trendiest fall and holiday fashion from local retailers on the runway at the Westport Village Fall Fashion Show, presented by On The Rocks!

The Fall Fashion show is happening on Thursday, September 28 from 5-7 p.m. at the Green Space by Tunies, located at 1301 Herr Lane Louisville, KY 40222. Check out the evening's itinerary below!

5pm: Cocktail Hour with 2 complimentary drink tickets with OTR cocktails and wine, plus light bites provided by SissyCakes, Maddie About Cake, Boombozz Pizza & Watch Bar, and North Lime Coffe & Donuts!

6pm: Fashion Show begins with exciting giveaways between scenes!

7pm: Shop the looks right off the runway after the show with exclusive deals!

Our foster team will teach you all about KHS' foster program before introducing you to some of our sweet animals in need of breaks from shelter life. Approved foster caregivers can even leave the open house with a new foster pet in tow! Whether you're a cat person or a dog person, you can make a difference by becoming a foster caregiver today. Yappy Hour at Apocalypse Brew Works

Bring your furry friends out for a day of fun, food and fantastic brews! Homebrewers from LAGERS have teamed up with Apocalypse Brew Works and Brewgrass Homebrew Supply to craft 20 exclusive beers for your tasting pleasure. Admission is free and the Traveling Kitchen will be there when you get hungry. Plus, all proceeds benefit our sweet shelter animals. Let's raise our glasses (and paws) for a fantastic cause!

You'll learn about how KHS is here for Kentucky's animals and for the people who love them - and how each of us can make a difference for companion animals. After the 1 hour lunch & learn and cuddles with the animals, you'll leave energized and inspired.

Join us on October 8 at Hauck's Corner for Hounds at Hauck's benefitting the Kentucky Humane Society! You'll get to enjoy delicious food and drinks while browsing amazing dog-focused vendors. Plus, Hauck's boasts a 7000 square-foot patio so you can bring your pup along for some paw-tastic fun, too! KHS will be on-site with adorable puppies for you to snuggle, and a portion of all proceeds will impact our sweet shelter pets. We can't wait to see you at this free, dog-friendly event!

Paint Your Pet: Harry Paw-ter Edition

Have you always wanted to paint the perfect picture of your beloved pet while drinking delicious craft beer? Now is your chance! Paint Your Pet is back in Louisville with local artist, Zach Lowe! This time around, we're adding a wizard twist - now you can paint your pet "Harry Paw-ter" style. Join us on Sunday, October 8 from 12-3 p.m. at Ten20 Craft Brewery for a pet painting paw-ty benefitting our sweet shelter pets!

Tickets are $40 per person, and 50% of all ticket sales will be donated towards the Kentucky Humane Society's lifesaving programs for cats, dogs and horses.

PET PHOTOS:

Please submit a photo of your pet vie email to Zach Lowe at [email protected] BEFORE Saturday, October 7. Please include your full name and 3-5 high quality photos of your pet. Please also include "KHS" in the subject line. Only 1 pet can be sketched on your canvas. This will result in the best finished painting, along with ensuring you finish on time.

PAINTING DETAILS:

Harry Paw-ter details: Your pet can be dressed up as a wizard! Comes with a scar, glasses, wand, and scarf! You can also include the sorting hat if desired. When submitting your photos it is HIGHLY recommend you send a photo of your pet at eye level, this will result in the best portrait. Please send 2-5 photos.

Don't have a pet to paint? We have 5 different Harry Paw-ter themes to choose from. All can be customized to your liking.

Additionally All colors can be customized to your house preferences.

Traditional pet portrait details: Please send 2-5 photos to Zach at the email listed above. You are limited to 1 pet per canvas. This will result in the best finished result and will ensure that you can finish on time. Any special requests about you sketch can be included in the email.

2023 Pars for Pets

Calling all golfers! Grab your clubs and join us for our annual Pars for Pets Golf Scramble. Pars for Pets takes place at the prestigious championship-style Big Spring Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky. Your foursome will enjoy lunch sponsored by Grabhorn Law – Insured Rights, complimentary beverages on the course, exciting contests, prizes, a cocktail reception and furry KHS friends greeting you along the way!

Registration begins at 11:00 am, lunch starts at 11:30 am, and shotgun start at 12:30 pm. Spaces are filling up quickly, so reserve your spot to play “FORE” the animals of KHS today.
