In 2017, the Kentucky Humane Society will host its 30th year of summer camp. This weeklong camp, offered June through July, helps your child build a sense of kindness, respect and responsibility towards all living beings and our planet.
The Kentucky Humane Society offers birthday parties to help your little animal lover celebrate their special day! It's sure to be a bow-WOW good time!
Fun and Educational Opportunities for Kids!
Thank you for thinking of us! The Kentucky Humane Society does not offer field trips or educational workshops, but we have other ways children can get involved. We are dedicated to getting our animals into their new homes with our 10 adoption sites at Feeders Supply and our East Campus location. Our Steedly Drive location (now called the Sam Swope Pet TLC) is no longer open for adoptions or tours.
Please see below for other ways for children to give back and help the shelter animals:
- Collect donations and/or Wish List items for the animals: www.kyhumane.org/ways-to-donate/give-wishlist
- Create enrichment items at home for our shelter animals: www.kyhumane.org/images/articles/enrichment.pdf
- Host a party with your friends at our East Campus ($150): www.kyhumane.org/birthday-parties
- Puppy or Kitten Gram at your home or school ($200): www.kyhumane.org/ways-to-donate/give-puppy-or-kitten-break
You may drop off donations, Wish List items or animal enrichment items to our East Campus at 1000 Lyndon Lane, Louisville, KY 40222 during open hours (Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm).
